Luciana Azevedo

Researcher

Agronomist, graduated from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) and a master's student in Sustainability Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
Worked in the State Programs of Hydrographic Microbasins in the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, on the elaboration and execution of sustainable development projects - individual and collective - for agriculture, dairy farming, and processing of products of vegetal and animal origin. She guided the organic certification of rural properties (animal, vegetable, and processing), in auditing and participatory systems and also instructs training courses to rural producers in sustainable soil management, organic certification, and alternative pest and disease control.
Collaborated in the foundation and technical assistance of the Horta Orgânica, an organic producers association, and participated in the elaboration and execution of recycling of slaughterhouse waste in organic composting. Currently is student of the Sustainability Science Professional Master at PUC-RIO.
At IIS, works for the GEF ÁREAS PRIVADAS Project, more specifically on the elaboration and implementation of the activities in the APA São João area (RJ).
