IIS is a #UNBiodiversityLab 2.0 data provider

The UN Biodiversity Lab (UNBL) partnership launched UNBL 2.0 during Day 1 of the Nature for Life Hub on 4th October 2021, to enable UN agencies, governments, and other stakeholders to access state-of-the-art spatial data to take action for conservation and sustainable development.

Developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), and the Secretariat of the UN Biodiversity Convention, UNBL 2.0 is freely available online to governments and other stakeholders as a digital public good. Available in English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, the redesigned platform offers modern web app design and enhanced functionalities based on user feedback. Users can now visualize over 400 of the world’s best available global spatial data layers; create secure workplaces to analyze data; access curated data collections to generate insight for action; and more.

IIS is proud to provide data to the #UNBiodiversityLab 2.0 as part of our work through the Nature Map Consortium.
